I've been neglecting this blog space for so long now... thought I'd post just a few of the many hundreds of  art journal pages I've created over the past year... One thing I can definitely say that I've gotten out of journaling... is that I feel more confident with my mediums, more confident with my process and way more confident over all with creating.  I recommend art journaling to everyone!... especially those creative types... it does wonders!

Thought I'd share one of my newest paintings/creations.

A layered technique. A colorful take on a patchwork like background and grunged it up with a textured aged look.

The word 'breathe' tends to appear in my art journaling a lot... it's a word that comes in my sub conscious and conscious enough that I notice.

 

I have my own meaning for the word and why I like it so much... and you may have your own - something completely different.

  Perhaps it's a message to just breathe - take it easy in life as much as possible.  Or it can be a reminder that 'breathing' is all you have to worry about - and the fact that we breathe automatically without even having to think about it I guess can tell us in a way that worry shouldn't be a regular occurrence.
